Skiyou Slough Conservation Area protects 27 acres of riparian forest within the Skagit River floodplain. It was acquired by the Trust in 2020 with the goal of protecting and enhancing salmon habitat within the Skagit River and associated high-water channels.
The property is dominated by native deciduous species including big leaf maple, black cottonwood, and red alder. The property also features a dense native shrub understory. In addition to salmon, this property is utilized by elk, deer, beavers, coyotes, various birds, and amphibians.
The property is open to low-impact public access via the Skagit River.
