Molly Doran

Executive Director

Molly's career spans land conservation and outdoor education. Before joining Skagit Land Trust in 2002, Molly spent over 20 years managing schools and teaching wilderness education in North and South America and Africa for the National Outdoor Leadership School. She holds a B.E.S. in environmental studies and a master's degree in managing and consulting from the Leadership Institute of Seattle at Bastyr University. Molly served on the national Land Trust Accreditation Commission from 2009-2020.

Michael Kirshenbaum

Michael Kirshenbaum

Conservation Director

Michael is responsible for overseeing acquisitions for Skagit Land Trust's conservation areas and easements. He previously worked at North Cascades National Park and in the non-profit advocacy sector in Washington, D.C. Michael has a M.S. in Geography - Natural Resource Policy from Western Washington University. Michael serves on the board of directors of the Skagit Watershed Council. He has been with the Trust since 2007.

Martha Frankel

Martha Frankel

Membership & Office Administrator

Martha worked 20 years in curatorial/administrative roles for cultural resource organizations in the north and mid-west. More recently, she assisted with development and membership in Montana for Yellowstone Public Radio and Montana Conservation Voters. Her undergraduate and graduate work was in Archaeology and Anthropology.

Laura Hartner

Laura Hartner

Development and Outreach Director

Laura oversees fundraising, communications, and community engagement for Skagit Land Trust. Prior to joining the world of land conservation, Laura served as the Events & Communications Director at the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce where she planned serval annual largescale festivals. Her work with Skagit Land Trust combine her love of the outdoors with her experience in community outreach, event planning, journalism, and non-profit fundraising. Laura's previous work includes King 5 News and Northwest Public Radio.

Stacy Dahl

Stacy Dahl

Volunteer & Education Programs Coordinator

Stacy engages the public with Skagit Land Trust through education and volunteer opportunities, with a focus on Trust protected lands. She oversees the Trust's Citizen Science and Engaging Youth in Conservation programs, and is the first point of contact for volunteers and interns at the Trust. Stacy moved to Bellingham from the Mojave Desert, where she spent six years as an environmental educator on the public lands surrounding Las Vegas. She is a graduate student, seeking a Masters of Biology. Stacy is married to King Dahl, has two sons – Miles and Jeremy, and likes to take hikes with her dog, Remo.

Kari Odden

Conservation Project Manager

Kari works with conservation land transactions, planning, and government grants. She has served on the Skagit County Marine Resources Committee since 2006. Previous work includes teaching, community outreach, and project coordination, in the U.S. and overseas. Kari has an M.S. in Environmental Science from Western Washington University.

Regina Wandler

Regina Wandler

Stewardship Director

Regina oversees the stewardship of Skagit Land Trust’s conservation areas and conservation easements. After serving as the Trust’s AmeriCorps Volunteer Coordinator in 2010, she joined as staff in 2011. Regina has a Master’s in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Washington. She serves on the board of the NW Chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration. She is passionate about helping others engage with and enjoy natural spaces. When she's not at work , she enjoys botanizing on hikes, reading speculative fiction and skiing.

Hannah Williams

Hannah Williams

Conservation Areas Coordinator

Hannah is focused on improving the Trust’s fee land stewardship, in particular, identifying opportunities to improve conservation area monitoring, recordkeeping, and management. After serving as the Trust’s AmeriCorps Community Stewardship and Engagement Volunteer Coordinator in 2016, Hannah joined the Trust as a full-time staff member. Hannah has a Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies from the University of Washington.

Auction Coordinator

Debbie works with staff and volunteers on the Trust's annual auction & dinner. She has worked as an Interior Designer for over 20 years and is the Owner-Innkeeper of a local Vacation Cottage. Debbie studied Interior Design at Bellevue College.

Bookkeeper

Michele handles the Trust’s book keeping and oversees all grant and contract billing. Michele has a B.S. in Accounting and became a CPA in 2000. Specializing in non-profits, she founded and runs the Cat’s Meow, a non-profit cat adoption center in Anacortes.

Abby Weaver

Stewardship AmeriCorps Member

Abby Weaver is serving as the 2020-21 Stewardship AmeriCorps Member for the Trust. She is from Virginia and graduated from Christopher Newport University in 2018 with a degree in Environmental Biology. She has enjoyed exploring the outdoor activities available in Washington. Her favorite things are hiking, camping, trees, and knitting!
