Molly Doran

Executive Director

Molly's (she/her/hers) career spans land conservation and outdoor education. Before joining Skagit Land Trust in 2002, Molly spent over 20 years managing schools and teaching wilderness education in North and South America and Africa for the National Outdoor Leadership School. She holds a B.E.S. in environmental studies and a master's degree in managing and consulting from the Leadership Institute of Seattle at Bastyr University. Molly served on the national Land Trust Accreditation Commission from 2009-2020.

Michael Kirshenbaum

Michael Kirshenbaum

Conservation Director

Michael (he/him/his) is responsible for overseeing acquisitions for Skagit Land Trust's conservation areas and easements. He previously worked at North Cascades National Park and in the non-profit advocacy sector in Washington, D.C. Michael has a M.S. in Geography - Natural Resource Policy from Western Washington University. Michael serves on the board of directors of the Skagit Watershed Council. He has been with the Trust since 2007.

Laura Hartner

Development & Outreach Director

Laura (she/her/hers) oversees fundraising, communications, and community engagement for Skagit Land Trust. Prior to joining the world of land conservation, Laura served as the Events & Communications Director at the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce where she planned serval annual largescale festivals. Her work with Skagit Land Trust combines her love of the outdoors with her experience in community outreach, event planning, journalism, and non-profit fundraising. Laura's previous work includes King 5 News and Northwest Public Radio.

Regina Wandler

Regina Wandler

Stewardship Director

Regina (she/her/hers) joined the Trust in 2010 and oversees the stewardship of Skagit Land Trust’s lands. Regina grew up helping steward Clyde Tree Farm, her family's certified family forest tree farm, and helped secure FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification for the tree farm as part of an undergraduate project. Regina holds a Masters in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Washington and is a CERP-IT (Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner In Training). She currently serves as the board president of the NW Chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration. When she's not at work, she enjoys botanizing on hikes, reading speculative fiction and skiing.

Jaz Strode-Elfant

Jaz Strode-Elfant

Membership & Office Administrator

Jaz (they/them/theirs) was most recently the Administrative Director for Resolutions Northwest in Portland, OR and brings to the Trust great technical skills and familiarity with donor databases and non-profit financial operations. A graduate of Western Washington University, where they studied Sociology and Art, Jaz is excited to return to an area where they can easily get to nature and hiking trails.

Kari Odden

Kari Odden

Conservation Project Manager

Kari (she/her/hers) works with conservation land transactions, planning, and government grants. She has served on the Skagit County Marine Resources Committee since 2006. Previous work includes teaching, community outreach, and project coordination in the U.S. and overseas. Kari has an M.S. in Environmental Science from Western Washington University.

Jessica Lange

Jessica Lange

Conservation Project Manager

Jessica (she/her/hers) has an extensive background in stewardship from her time at Sound Salmon Solutions, a regional fisheries enhancement group south of Skagit County. Her understanding of local conservation issues and experience in applying for and managing grants will be beneficial to the Trust’s work of acquiring and conserving land. Jessica graduated from Hawaii Pacific University, where she received a degree in Environmental Studies and Natural Resource Management. Jessica will continue to commute from her home on Camano Island where she likes “salsa dancing, the sunshine, not following recipes, nature, trying new things, sudoku and getting muddy”!

Stacy Dahl

Stacy Dahl

Volunteer & Education Programs Coordinator

Stacy (she/her/hers) engages the public with Skagit Land Trust through education and volunteer opportunities, with a focus on Trust protected lands. She oversees the Trust's Community Science and Engaging Youth in Conservation programs and is the first point of contact for volunteers and interns at the Trust. Stacy moved to Bellingham from the Mojave Desert, where she spent six years as an environmental educator on the public lands surrounding Las Vegas. She has a Master’s in Biology from Miami University of Ohio. A life-long learner, she enjoys spending time outdoors exploring the different ecosystems of the Pacific Northwest.

Hannah Williams

Stewardship Coordinator - West County

Hannah (she/her/hers) is focused on improving the Trust’s fee land stewardship, in particular, identifying opportunities to improve conservation area monitoring, recordkeeping, and management. After serving as the Trust’s AmeriCorps Community Stewardship and Engagement Volunteer Coordinator in 2016, Hannah joined the Trust as a full-time staff member. Hannah has a Bachelor’s in Environmental Studies from the University of Washington. In her free time, Hannah enjoys sailing, paddle boarding, and scuba diving.

Kayla Seaforth

Stewardship Coordinator - East County

Kayla (she/her/hers) works to coordinate the many aspects of stewardship on the Trust’s fee owned lands. She comes to the Trust after spending several years working in stewardship in the San Juan Islands where she developed skills in habitat restoration and managing public access projects. Kayla graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor’s in Strategic Communication. She spends her free time hiking, skiing, paddling and generally delighting in the wonders of the Pacific Northwest.

Debbie (she/her/hers) works with staff and volunteers on the Trust's annual auction & dinner. She has worked as an Interior Designer for over 20 years and is the Owner-Innkeeper of a local Vacation Cottage. Debbie studied Interior Design at Bellevue College.

Gabby (she/her/hers) works with the Trust to organize work parties and volunteer events. She also supports youth and education opportunities such as Community Science projects and Conservation Classroom programs. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with an Environmental Science degree, Gabby was an environmental stewardship AmeriCorps Member in Florida. Besides exploring the Pacific Northwest, Gabby enjoys baking and reading.
