This 36 acre conservation easement on Guemes Island was donated in 2016 and protected from additional development. It protects a diversity of habitats - critical wetlands, a creek, forestland, and over 850 feet of marine shoreline. It is the site of the first homestead on Guemes Island and was proposed as a location for an aluminum plant in the 1960’s. The property connects with over 500 acres of protected lands that include the Valley and Guemes Mountain.
This is a private property, not open to the public.
