Skagit Land Trust is proud to cosponsor a screening of the award-winning documentary film Fish War at the Lincoln Theatre on November 15th, at 7pm in Downtown Mount Vernon. This free screening will include a Q&A following the film.
Fish War chronicles the era when the state of Washington made it illegal for tribes to fish for salmon in their usual and accustomed places, and the tribes' ensuing fight to exercise their treaty-reserved fishing rights.
Q&A panelists will include Scott Schuyler of the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe, Kadi Bizyayeva of the Stillaguamish Tribe, Althea Wilson of Lummi Nation, and Rodney Sisson of the Puyallup Tribe.
