Lands We Love Social Raised Over $100,000!

This past Saturday afternoon, 120 guests gathered at beautiful Pressentin Park in Marblemount for Skagit Land Trust’s Lands We Love fundraiser. Guests enjoyed a delicious catered meal from Max Dale’s Steak & Chop-House and toe-tapping live bluegrass from One Eyed Cat – against the stunning backdrop of mountains and rivers that reminded us all why this work matters.

Many guests also enjoyed educational property tours guided by Skagit Land Trust staff and representatives from conservation and restoration partners involved with our Douglas Island Conservation Area, which lies next to Pressentin Park.

We were honored to have Scott Schuyler, the Upper Skagit Indian Tribe’s Policy Representative for Natural & Cultural Resources in attendance, as well Skagit County Commissioner Ron Wesen. We are grateful to work with both governments to conserve the places that make Skagit so special.

Special thanks to Brian Adams and the staff at Skagit County Parks for opening Pressentin Park to us! If you haven’t had a chance, please check out this stunning park to see the hard work they have put into renovating and restoring the space.

Thank you also to our 2025 Event sponsors for caring about the quality of life in the Skagit, and for doing your part to ensure that special wildlife habitat, trails, farmland, forests, and scenic shorelines will be protected for generations to come!

Thanks to our generous donors, volunteers, and partners, this year's Lands We Love Social raised over $100,000 to protect natural places in Skagit County. To all of our members and supporters: your commitment is both humbling and inspiring. Thank you for saving land for tomorrow! We hope to see you all again soon at our Annual Picnic, happening July 27th at our Samish Miles Conservation Area.
