Have fun outdoors with the 2021 Skagit Watershed Letterbox Trail!
Letterboxing is an exciting opportunity for kids of all ages to explore our local watersheds and have fun while doing so! All you need is the Skagit Watershed passport, a pencil, outdoor attire, a smart phone (unless you want to unplug) and a sense of adventure!
This year the Skagit Watershed Letterbox Trail consists of three separate trails in Skagit County. You can discover one trail, or all three!
One of the trails is at Cumberland Creek Conservation Area in Day Creek, off of South Skagit Highway. Take a walk around the oxbow pond and down to the Skagit River Hop along one section of the trail, and look for evidence of elk in another!
To participate, print out the passport, pick your trail and head out! Once on the trail, find each letterbox station which contains fun & educational content and activities. When you have found a letterbox station draw something creative on the passport to document you have been there.
Once you have visited at least two trails, email a photo of your passport to info@skagitcleanwater.org to qualify for a prize! Winners will be announced September 16th.
