Minkler Lake Planting

Mar 2014 9

9:30 AM to 12:30 PM
Minkler Lake Conservation Area

Please save the date and join us for a planting workparty at Minkler Lake

We have received a grant supporting a large blackberry removal and replanting project at the west end of Minkler Lake. Join us to help suppress the blackberry by planting native trees and shrubs in the upland and lower field portions of this beautiful property. The upland field was almost entirely replanted several years ago, and the trees have grown to be tall and healthy - let's keep the good restoration going to benefit all of the wildlife that depends on Minkler Lake!

Carpooling to this event is strongly encouraged. The carpool will meet in the northwest corner of the Food Pavilion parking lot in Sedro-Woolley at 9:10am. If you cannot make the carpool, limited parking is available in front of the property along Minkler Lake Rd. just west of house #28576.

We will supply volunteers with gloves, shovels, snacks and hot beverages. Please bring your own rain gear, warm clothing, and footwear suitable for wet, rainy conditions. We hope to see you out there!
