Join Skagit Land Trust to steward and visit a unique low-elevation bog ecosystem just east of Mount Vernon at Sumner Lake Conservation Area.
Just outside of the parking pullout is a moderate sized patch of blackberry to be cut back for safer access. Afterwards take a walk down to see the bog and open waters, depending on the wind direction see if you can spot the floating island.
