Samish Koetje Conservation Area

Come on out to visit the small Samish Koetje Conservation Area to help remove a small patch of Himalayan blackberry. This property protects a beautiful riparian forest and a section of the Samish River. Along the bank is an invasive blackberry patch to be removed before it spreads further into the forest or causes erosion on the river bank.

Bring: Weather and work appropriate clothing, sturdy footwear and a water bottle. We will provide gloves and tools.

RSVP: Carpooling is recommended.
Contact our volunteer coordinator to RSVP at or (360)428-7878 and include your carpool request by Thursday, May 4th.

Directions from I-5: take exit 236 Bow Hill Road east and turn right. Bow Hill Road becomes Praire Rd/Woodman Matthews Rd. Turn left at Praire Rad  for 3.7 miles then turn right at Praire Lane.
