Douglas Island Scotch Broom Pull

Apr 2017 7

12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Douglas Island Conservation Area

Details: Join Skagit Land Trust to control scotch broom on Douglas Island, one of the preserves recently transferred from The Nature Conservancy! This workparty is a great opportunity to see a Skagit island property while helping to care for it. A Trust member has graciously offered to shuttle volunteers onto the island, but space is limited. If you would like to join us, RSVP by 3 PM on April 6th.

Directions: We will send more detailed directions and/or organize carpooling after we receive your RSVP. The Douglas Island Conservation Area is located in the Skagit River near Marblemount, WA.

To Bring: Water bottle and weather appropriate clothing and shoes, a change of clothing to leave in the car, and a life vest if you have one. Skagit Land Trust will provide light snacks, water, gloves, tools and a boat to access the property.

Please contact us at (360) 428-7878 or email volunteer@skagitlandtrust.org to RSVP.
