Have you ever wondered how we care for all of our conserved lands?
Join us along the shoreline of Fidalgo Bay to help care for a Conservation Easement. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about how private citizens care for and work to protect all types of land in Skagit County. Conservation Easements are privately owned property so now is your chance to see one up close.
Details: This small sliver of this property lies directly above Fidalgo Bay and needs our help in removing invasive ivy off of the trees. Tall, live trees are needed along shorelines to shade and cool the water, provide home to insects that become the bottom of the aquatic food chain, and to provide scenic beauty for those recreating on the water.
To bring: Weather and work appropriate clothing, water bottle and a sack lunch to enjoy the view after we finish. The Land Trust will provide work gloves and light snacks for the morning. Bring your hand clippers if you have a favorite pair!
RSVP: Carpool and directions will be provided with your RSVP due to the location at a private property.
