Invasive Thistle Removal

Details: Please join us at Tope Ryan Conservation Area to help control thistle at this always changing Trust property. We'll be working in an area planted over the last few years. 

Bring: Work and weather appropriate clothing and a water bottle, sun (or rain) protection is recommended; and hiking boots or muck boots for walking in tall grass.  Work gloves and tools will be provided, but if you have a pair of hand clippers for your pocket please bring them. Light refreshments will be provided.

Carpool from Skagit Land Trust office at 9:30 AM. Event staff will be on-site please self-organize to carpool or ask for Stewardship staff at the front desk.

Directions:  From Mount Vernon take the I-5 Bow Hill exit #236, and go east on Bow Hill, continuing along it when it turns into Prairie Rd, for about 3 miles. Turn right onto Grip Road. The property is the first driveway on the left, as indicated by a Skagit Land Trust sign.

This property is one of the first conserved lands for the Trust, so join us in keeping this special place healthy for people and wildlife!
