Yellow archangel pull at the Wilcox property

Apr 2016 28

10:30 AM to 2:00 PM
Wilcox Conservation Area

Join Skagit Land Trust to remove a high-threat invasive species from a beautiful and remote protected area along the Suiattle River! A small patch of Yellow archangel needs to be removed before it produces seeds in an otherwise native plant dominated landscape. We'll be pulling the plants and root systems out of the ground.

This is one of our first opportunities for volunteers to join staff and see one of The Nature Conservancy propertiest that Skagit Land Trust is helping to steward. This property is roughly 1.5 hours away from Mount Vernon, but the invasive is easy to access from the road once you arrive.

Bring layers, a water bottle, brown bag lunch and lots of energy! We'll provide refreshments and gloves.

Email reginaw@skagitlandtrust.org to RSVP and join a carpool. Carpooling vehicles will leave the Trust office in Mount Vernon at 9 AM to arrive on site by 10:30 AM.
