The Price of Success: Stewardship Volunteer Opportunity

Dec 2014 12

1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Day Creek Kosbab Conservation Area

The Price of Success! The planted trees at the beautiful Day Creek Kosbab Conservation Area are doing so well they are outgrowing their protectors! Join us at this scenic property along the Skagit to help remove tree protectors that are now inhibiting the growth of these healthy trees. This work requires kneeling or bending over.

Take the South Skagit Hwy from SR 9 on the south side (Clear Lake) of the Skagit River. Drive on the South Skagit Hwy for about 8 miles to the intersection of Walberg Rd. Turn left (north) onto Walberg Rd and drive about 2 miles. Access to Kosbab Slough Property is located along the north side of Wahlberg Rd. *Park on the road and meet SLT staff there. We will walk together into the property*

We will have tools, drinks and snacks. Please bring your own water bottle, boots, and weather and working-appropriate clothing.
