Conservation Social: Images of the Skagit

Nov 2014 13

5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Museum of Northwest Art

Invite a friend and join us at the Museum of Northwest Art  - 121 1st Steet in La Conner (map) - for appetizers and illuminating presentations by artist Alfred Currier, poet Saul Weisberg and Skagit Land Trust. This is a wonderful way to introduce friends to local land conservation efforts and the people who make it all possible. During the evening, a Call for Conservation will invite guests to join or renew their support in Skagit Land Trust.

*Challenge Match*  Skagit Land Trust’s Board of Directors has issued a pledge to match all Call for Conservation gifts 1:1 up to $10,000 dollars! Double your impact with a donation at the event or via mail to: PO Box 1017 Mount Vernon, WA 98273.

Artist Alfred Currier (pictured painting Sauk Mountain) paints vibrant landscapes in oil impasto from the studio he maintains in Anacortes. Plein air painting provides most of his inspiration.

Poet Saul Weisberg is executive director and co-founder of North Cascades Institute. He is an ecologist, naturalist and writer who has explored the mountains and rivers of the Pacific Northwest for more than 30 years.

This event is full, call 360-428-7878 or email lynnej@skagitlandtrust.org to inquire if space becomes available.
