Join Skagit Land Trust again this fall to continue removing English Ivy from the beautiful Squires easement! By removing ivy, we protect the trees and native plants at this unique site, home to one of Skagit County's largest heronries. Please wear long sleeves and pants for ivy removal events. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. Skagit Land Trust will provide gloves, loppers, pruners, safety gear, digging tools and some refreshments, but feel free to bring your own tools if you prefer them! (And for ivy, the very best tool is your hands!)
Over the last 2 years, we have made immense progress on this site. Join us again this fall and we can get even farther! The morning will start with a brief update on heron monitoring the Trust has carried out over the last year, and then we'll get to work!
We'll meet in the parking lot of the Community of Christ Church, located at 11507 Scott Road, Bow, WA. Please carpool if you are able - parking may be limited!
Please RSVP to volunteer@skagitlandtrust.org.
