Come help plant some conifers at the old barn site by Day Creek, to add diversity to the forest mix. The current weather forecast is encouraging! Don't forget your rubber boots since we'll be crossing a stream to get to the planting site. We'll provide coffee and snacks; bring a bag lunch if you'd like to eat there after the planting.
Please meet at the South Skagit Park & Ride at 9:40 to carpool, because we have limited access to this site and have to park in a neighbor's driveway. (If you're going south on Hwy 9, take the second right soon after you cross the Skagit River, and you'll see the parking lot on your right before you turn in.) If you're coming from upriver, please RSVP to mayacs@skagitlandtrust.org and we can meet at the site. To get there from upriver, take the South Skagit Hwy, go left on Warfield Road, and the property is a little over a mile down the road on your left. Stan will be there on his bicycle at 10am and a few cars will be pulling in to guide you to the right place.
