Hurn Scotch Broom Removal

Apr 2012 20

10:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Hurn Conservation Area, Concrete, WA

Come on out and see our recently acquired parcels at the Hurn Conservation Area!  We have protected valuable Skagit riverfront just east of Hurn Field, but need to remove some Scotch Broom before it spreads its seeds this spring.  We'll be using the root wrench today to get these unwelcome shrubs out of the ground and off the river system.

If it's not rainy, these properties are a great place to sit down by the river, eat lunch, and look over to our Pressentin' Ranch property across the water!

We'll bring refreshments, gloves, tools, and a canopy if it is rainy - but if you happen to have a root wrench and feel like helping out, we'd welcome you and your tool!
