Kosbab Protector Removal 2

Mar 2012 24

9:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Kosbab Day Creek

In March, we are going back out to a site many of you helped plant and restore about 2 years ago – Day Creek – Kosbab.  We will be removing the tree protectors before the reed canary grass gets too tall this year.  It’s a wonderful site for seeing what happens after the trees are planted and doing well.  There is a wide variety of wildlife active on the site (beaver chewed trees, bobcat prints and birds!).  If you are interested in working with us on any of the dates, please consider carpooling from the South Skagit Park and Ride at the South Skagit Highway and Highway 9 at 9:00 AM, as space at the property is limited.  We’ll provide tools, gloves, and refreshments.

This event is youth appropriate - I would recommend middle school and up,
   or fairly weatherproof younger kids!

Bring your rubber boots - you'll need them to get to the tree protectors!

Head to 31035 Walberg Rd if you are unable to carpool - directions from the South Skagit Park and Ride here!
