Barr Creek Nature Walk

Jun 2011 25

10:30 AM to 1:00 PM
Barr Creek Trail, Near Rockport

Join Skagit Land Trust to walk the freshly completed Barr Creek hiking trail with Marlee Mountain, an ethno botanist from Rockport who has offered to teach us about wild edible and medicinal plants in the Skagit.  Marlee has lived in the Upper Skagit for 35 years, and has taught here and in Methow.  She will even bring some potted wild plants along for the curious to taste!  Bring your lunch to eat on the trail.  Space is limited to 10 guests, please email or call volunteer@skagitlandtrust.org to save your spot now!

Driving directions:  Drive down Hwy 20 until you pass Rockport.  Turn left onto Conrad Road.  Park along the left side of the road near the trailhead, or, if you're lucky, in the shiny new parking lot!

There will be carpooling arranged from Sedro-Woolley's Food Pavillion at 9:30 AM.  If you are interested, let Regina know!
