The Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest purchased the 77-acre Ann Wolford Park from Skagit County in 2002. Acquisition of this park, adjacent to the Trust's Hurn Property, completes years of effort on the part of many community members to ensure long-term protection of this unique area. A growing elk herd feeds in the fields of the Trust property and finds important shelter in the forest lands next door.
