3rd Friday Stewardship

Dec 2016 16

10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Shaw Conservation Area

Come join us for our 3rd Friday Stewardship event along the South Skagit River to our untrammeled Shaw Conservation Area. Located along the South Skagit Highway, the Shaw property has wetland, forest, and great wildlife habitat for songbirds, woodpeckers, and small mammals. This property was logged about 40 years ago and today you will find tall firs, hemlocks, and cedars.

During our visit we will work near the wetland area to cut back some invasive blackberry. Time and weather permitting we may check out the rest of the property.

Dress for weather and if you have them bring thick gloves, clippers and/or loppers, and safety glasses. We will also bring extras.

Carpooling is necessary therefore if you would like to join us, please RSVP by December 14th.
