This event is full - join the waitlist below to be informed of openings.

Join us at the Museum of Northwest Art (map) for appetizers and presentations by UW Professor of Wildlife Science John Marzluff and avian artist/PhD student Jack DeLap. Professor Marzluff’s recent book Welcome to Subirdia features drawings by Mr. DeLap and illustrates how populations of a great variety of birds, as well as other creatures, are adapting to the conditions of our increasingly developed world. We will learn how our own actions affect the birds and animals that live in our cities and towns, and strategies everyone can use to make human environments friendlier for our natural neighbors.

During the evening, a Call for Conservation will invite guests to support local land conservation. An anonymous family foundation will match all Call for Conservation donations 1:1 up to $10,000 total.

Reservations are required as this is a popular event.

RSVP online or by phone 360-428- 7878. Admission is free thanks to our business sponsors and the Museum of Northwest ArtYou can also reserve a copy of Welcome to Subirdia to be signed by the author.
