Knotweed Bending

Jul 2012 9

9:30 AM to 1:30 PM
Samish - Ochs Property

SECOND SESSION!

* Please bring waders or high rubber boots to this event! *

Getting sick of seeing that terrible noxious knotweed around?  Come out and help us prep our Samish Ochs property for knotweed treatment!  We'll be working with staff and volunteers from the Samish Tribe and Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group to bend stems of knotweed over in preparation.  It makes a very satisfying pop!  Bring your lunch to enjoy by the beautiful Samish!  We will be working on the river.  This is the first step in a  restoration project to help create fantastic riparian habitat at Ochs!

We will meet at 9:30 AM in the parking lot of the Starbucks on Old Highway 99 near Cook Road.

Handy things to bring - a hat, a bandanna, work gloves, and a baggie to put any electronics (such as your phone) in if you are bringing it out to the river.
