Guemes Trail Celebration!

Jun 2011 18

10:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Sal's Field near the trailhead of Guemes Mountain

Come and join us to celebrate the completion of our Guemes Mountain trail!

We've been working with WTA since last September to get this (now over!) one mile long trail built up the mountain.  There have been over 350 volunteers donating around 2500 hours of their time on just this project since last September - and we'd like to say thank you!

What to Expect: Refreshments at 10:30 AM, Ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 11 AM with guided or solo hikes up the trail throughout the day.

Where: Guemes Island, meet near the Guemes Mountain trailhead by the white barn.  To get there, drive straight off the ferry onto Guemes Island Rd for 1.5 miles.  Turn right on Edens Rd (this is the corner of Schoolhouse Park).  Drive Edens Rd for 1 mile.  Stay to the right at the Y on to Southshore Rd.  Drive .5 miles, and parking will be on the right near a large white barn.
