First Aid Training for Trust Volunteers and Staff

Walt Blackford from Puget Sound Energy stopped by this week to drop off a check from Puget Sound Energy (PSE) to support first aid and wilderness training for our Stewardship staff and volunteer Land Stewards. PSE's $1,500 donation will help send staff and four volunteer Land Stewards to NOLS Wilderness First Aid training this year.

Skagit Land Trust properties are spread out across the county. Many are quite large and located in remote regions. Staff and volunteer land stewards regularly have to survey these properties. We always have staff and volunteers go in teams when they visit, still emergencies can happen and this training will help them be prepared to handle situations that arise.
