Volunteer Opportunity: Trail Maintenance

Jun 2015 11

10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Barr Creek Conservation Area

Hiking season is here!

Volunteer with your friends at Barr Creek Conservation Area and walk trails (which lead to a lovely waterfall!) built and maintained by Skagit Land Trust. We’ll be pulling invasive weeds and clearing the trail with hand tools and gas-powered weed whackers. This work will maintain open trails that are easy to see and navigate so that more people can easily enjoy the property! These activities include bending, pulling, and possibly lifting 10 to 15 lbs.

Skagit Land Trust will provide snacks, water, gloves, and tools. Please bring a water bottle, hiking boots or other sturdy shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing.

Carpooling highly recommended, parking is very limited.

To RSVP and for carpooling accommodations contact Kay: volunteer@skagitlandtrust.org or call 360.428.7878
