Lyman Slough Conservation Area

 

Join us for our first annual Natual Skagit Day

Learn about and help care for our natural lands at Lyman Slough. We'll meet at the Lyman City Park to start. Enjoy nature walks along the Cascade Trail, help remove invasive plant species, and learn from the Fidalgo Fly Fishers!  Bring a bag lunch; light refreshments provided. This is a family-friendly event with fun give-ways…come for an hour or stay for the day!

Schedule:

9am—10am - Nature Walks:

Birds of the Skagit with Skagit Audubon's Tim Manns

Coho, Starflower, and Tadpoles, oh My! with North Cascades Institute's Lindsay Walker

10am—12pm:  Fidalgo Fly Fishers fly-tying and casting demonstrations

10:30am—1:00pm: Volunteer to eradicate invasive plants and restore a healthy watershed!
